Science Saturdays: Fossil Creation

How big were dinosaurs? Did dinosaurs care for their young? What made them different? Students will observe and learn about various fossils, nest eggs, teeth, claws, and skulls while creating their very own dinosaur fossil tooth to take home with them.

Science Saturday Workshop prices ($20 per student) include the workshop and museum admission for the participating student. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults must purchase admission upon entry ($15 per person). This is not a drop-off program; an adult must be present at all times. Science Saturdays are free for members. Enroll here.

Art Lab on the Lawn

Introducing Art Lab on the Lawn: An in-season invitation to get creative with your kid crew, brought to you by Artfully Long Island, Petite North Fork, and Hotel Moraine.

Together, we will provide monthly opportunities for families to enjoy the beauty and community of the North Fork while using recycled and upcycled materials to imagine and create. With a variety of interesting materials and endless possibilities, children can explore, create, and bring their unique ideas to life at their own pace.

The next Art Lab on the Lawn will take place on Sunday, July 20, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Attendees are welcome to attend anytime during that timeframe for an open art and creation session.

Tickets cost $15/artist, the event is open to children and adults of all ages.

Art Lab on the Lawn open studio sessions will take place on the following Sundays at 11 a.m.: 4/27, 5/25, 6/8, 7/20, 8/17, 9/28, 10/26 on the lawn of Hotel Moraine, Greenport.

Reflextions: Art in the Park

Reflextions Riverhead, Art in The Park, is a walkable, interactive experience for visitors located in Milton L Burns Park on Peconic Avenue in Downtown Riverhead. A scenic setting – Reflextions utilizes and showcases the riverfront park to create a free, accessible public art space.

Reflextions consists of a daytime component as a standalone reflective art display. But at night, the magic comes to life when the art pieces are illuminated during our special events.  Featuring assorted elements of“LIGHT”, based on artist interpretations and designs. Elements of light include LED, Incandescent, Fire, Black light, Day Glow, and photo luminescent displays. Each Illumination event will showcase additional lighted exhibits and live performing arts.

“Living History” Revolutionary Era Encampment

“Living History” Revolutionary Era Encampment Coming July 12 and 13.


Join the Southold Historical Museum for an unforgettable experience as they host a Revolutionary War encampment on Saturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.


The reenactors of the Third New York Regiment will transform the Maple Lane Campus at 55200 Main Road into a vibrant living history site. Explore authentic tents and gear used by soldiers as they prepared to join General Washington and his forces. Enjoy hands-on demonstrations including blacksmithing, spinning, basket weaving, printing press, and carpentry.


Plus, don’t miss live music by Eastern Long Island Old Time Jam.
The Museum buildings will also be open for tours. Admission is free, and donations are warmly welcomed.

Farm-to-Family Workshop 🍅

Join Tiny Growers for a hands-on harvest + cooking workshop at Deep Roots Farm. Together, the group will: Harvest fresh ingredients from the field, make pizza and a seasonal salad, talk about where our food comes from, and why it matters

This workshop is for ages 6-12. Kids under 10 must be accompanied by an adult, but we’d love to share this experience with our grown-ups, too! Tending to our food, our earth, and each other is a community practice 🌱

Peconic Bay Vineyards Fireworks Show - Family-Friendly

Celebrate the 4th Annual Fireworks Show at Peconic Bay Vineyards — Saturday, July 5th from 5:30–9:30PM!

Reserve a table with dinner + drinks for $145 pp. Enjoy sweeping vineyard views and a front row seat to the firework show while sipping from an open and wine and beer bar. A delicious BBQ dinner is also included.

OR for just $20 per car, bring your own picnic and set up your spot on the grass. Beer and wine will be available for purchase, along with fresh, local oysters at our Oyster Bar. Please note: while outside food is welcome, no outside alcohol is permitted.

Bring your family on a guided walk at Downs Farm Preserve with Group for the East End. Learn about the historical and ecological importance of this site, as well as the restoration projects in progress at the preserve. 

The educational event is open to all ages.
